Sheet vinyl is one continuous piece with no joints to let water through, which is why it has outlasted every fashion that was supposed to replace it in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms. Modern print and embossing quality means a wood effect reads convincingly at standing height, and you are not sanding it in ten years.
We hold it on the roll in three widths, so most rooms come off a single piece. Bring your measurements and it is cut in front of you and rolled for the car.

Choosing a width before you choose a pattern
Width decides whether you have a seam, and a seam decides how the floor ages. Do this part first and the rest is just taste.
Measure the widest point including the doorway
A room that is 2.1m wide needs the 3m roll, and that extra 900mm is cheaper than living with a join.
Count the obstacles
A toilet pedestal, a kitchen island and a boiler cupboard each add work and a little more waste.
Think about the direction
Plank effects look best running the long way down a room or towards the main light source.
Ask about offcuts
Vinyl offcuts are excellent value for a cloakroom, a porch or a cupboard floor.
Vinyl against LVT, honestly
Sheet vinyl is quicker to fit, cheaper, warmer underfoot and completely waterproof across the whole floor. LVT gives you a harder wearing surface, a more convincing edge detail and the option of laying patterns like herringbone. If the room is wet and the budget matters, sheet vinyl wins. If the room is a statement, look at LVT.
What goes wrong with vinyl, and how to avoid it
Almost every failure is the subfloor rather than the vinyl. Old tiles, a lifting board, a screw head sitting proud, all of it telegraphs through within weeks. Get the floor flat and clean before the vinyl goes down, and ask the team about the right adhesive for your subfloor when you buy.
